Uddog o Uddokta Japan is a Japan-based General Incorporated Association working at the intersection of research, entrepreneurship, education, and social impact.
We believe meaningful change happens when knowledge moves beyond classrooms and reports and reaches entrepreneurs, organizations, and communities.
Our work connects academia, industry, entrepreneurs, policymakers, development actors, and communities to understand real-world challenges, co-create practical solutions, strengthen entrepreneurial capacity, and support sustainable ventures.
Our activities are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the broader global effort to build more inclusive, equitable, resilient, and sustainable societies. At the same time, we look beyond the 2030 Agenda by encouraging new generations of entrepreneurs and changemakers to address emerging social, economic, technological, and environmental challenges.
From research and entrepreneurship education to consulting, international collaboration, funding initiatives, and field-level implementation, we work to turn knowledge into action, ideas into sustainable ventures, and collaboration into meaningful and measurable impact.
Our commitment: Global Goals. Local Action. Sustainable Impact.
Our Four Pillars
Evidence for Better Action
We conduct and support research on entrepreneurship, social business, innovation, entrepreneurial ecosystems, international development, and emerging social and economic challenges.
Our research aims not only to generate knowledge, but also to inform practice, policy, and field-level interventions.

We connect evidence, people, and action.
Uddog o Uddokta Japan works to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world implementation through a multi-stakeholder approach to entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
We bring together academia, government, entrepreneurs, industry, development organizations, community groups, investors, and young people to understand challenges from different perspectives and develop practical, locally relevant solutions.
Our approach recognizes that sustainable change cannot be created by one sector alone. Researchers generate knowledge, governments shape enabling environments, entrepreneurs and industry turn ideas into action, and communities bring lived experience and local understanding. By connecting these stakeholders, we create opportunities for knowledge exchange, co-creation, entrepreneurship development, and field-level implementation.
At the same time, our work in communities and with entrepreneurs generates new evidence and insights that can contribute back to research, education, policy, and practice.

The Social Business Fund is a developing initiative designed to support entrepreneurs building ventures based on empathy and social impact. The fund aims to provide capital to selected entrepreneurs without charging interest, with the expectation that the principal will be returned over an agreed period so that the same resources can support future entrepreneurs. Inspired by a venture-capital approach but adapted to social business principles, the initiative seeks participation from corporations, governments, institutions, and individuals who want to contribute resources toward a revolving fund for sustainable social impact.
